This blog has discussed many times the relevance of journalists and the future of the media. It has been going on for a few years now, however even I am getting bored with this discussion.
How many times can we keep asking what is the future of newspapers without actually delivering an answer?
Well if it looked around the world the answer can be obvious. As seen recently on Gruen Planet where they looked at how the media is communicating this shift in business.
As we can see Media Watch can dissect this discussion from within, but it really does not have the same punch. So while we go round and round in circles, clearly publications like The Guardian just get on with it.
And as they so eloquently can, Gruen compared it to a Sydney Morning Herald piece of communication on their future.
Clearly it plays like a corporate and gives an outdated notion that news is about journalists, the celebrity within it. Not true, bloggers and social media experts are more the celebrities these days.
I think the discourse is done now, let’s just get on with it.
